Coolah Historical Exhibition

After quite a lot of work by members of Pandora Gallery and Coolah & District Historical Society, the Coolah Historical Exhibition is now open!

Come in and see artefacts loaned from Coolah residents dating back to the late 1800s and up to the 1950s  along with some historical photos.   We don’t have a museum in town, so this is as close as we get – but only for a few weeks.

There are 5 main sections in the display – Home Life, Agriculture, Social Life, Coolah Photographs and a special section on Chad Martin, a local WWII pilot and Commanding Officer of 460 RAAF Squadron, part of Bomber Command in England during the war, where the famous G for George Lancaster bomber originated.

The exhibition is at Pandora Gallery
Coolah Shire Hall Building, Binnia Street, Coolah

The building is open the following hours:

Monday: 10:00 am – 5:30 pm (Closed from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm)
Tuesday: 10:00 am – 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Thank you to all the residents who have provided items for the exhibition – all our visitors will enjoy seeing them and learning a little more about our history.

The exhibition will be taken down around 23 March, so be sure to make time to come to the gallery, say hello to our friendly volunteers and view the exhibition.

See you soon!
